Rum production in Liberia has a rich history spanning more than a century, with traditional distillation methods passed down through generations. Founded in 2012 by Mike Sehzue, Sangarplay Distillery—located in the heart of Nimba County—was established to help drive economic growth in the region. The distillery focuses on small-batch cane juice rums that celebrate Liberia’s heritage and flavor.
